additional Lawn Care services

Since 1977, our customized lawn care programs have helped keep lawns in Olmsted Falls, Westlake, and surrounding areas healthy, green and beautiful all year long. In addition to our basic lawn care services, we provide treatment for grubs, fungus, diseases, and compacted soil. View our full list of optional services below.

Core Aeration

Power core aeration is one of the most important cultural practices available for your lawn. Aeration helps control thatch, improves the soil structure, helps create growth pockets for new roots, and opens the way for water and fertilizer to get into the root zone of your lawn. Annual or semi-annual aeration is advised for all lawns on heavy clay soils, those with a moderate thatch buildup, and any lawn that needs to be “thickened up.”

Disease Control

Of all the pests that damage lawns, fungus diseases are some of the most difficult to tame. There are hundreds of diseases that can infect your turf. Some are relatively harmless; others can destroy an entire lawn in a very short time. To reduce disease, keep the lawn healthy and growing with proper feeding, mowing, watering, and thatch control measures. Call us about our disease control service.

Aera-Vator Seeding

When lawn over seeding is needed, our Aera-Vator can often solve the problem quickly, easily, and with little mess or bother. Our Aera-Vator’s vibrating tines loosen the soil all around and underneath each tine, fracturing the soil with 9 holes per square foot. Seed is dropped directly into the soil, eliminating the need to strip the existing sod or till the yard. Aera-Vator plus seeding provides proper seed-to-soil contact and results in much better germination and growth rates than with seed that is broadcast or spread by hand. The harder and dryer the soil, the better the Aera-Vator works.

Grub Insect Control

Keep Ohio’s “most unwanted” insect from eating your lawn. Grubs live and feed in the soil. It’s easy to miss them as they gradually cut the roots out from under your lawn until brown patches begin to appear and the grubs are finally discovered. Let us provide season-long control with a special service that will prevent grubs from invading your lawn.

Lime Application

Lime “sweetens” your soil. In areas where soil is naturally “sour” (or acidic), this is extremely important for growing healthy turf. Lime helps improve lawn color and density, helps control thatch, and increases root development. Our lime application helps keep the chemistry of your soil in balance so that you can have, and enjoy, a thicker, greener, healthier lawn. *Note: Soil testing is highly recommended.

Late-Fall Fertilization

With a heavy application of winterizer fertilizer, we can stimulate root growth and improve early-spring green-up.

Yellow Nutsedge

Nutsedge is a perennial weed that is hard to get rid of. Chemical controls work by traveling through the plant and eliminating existing tubers.
